Precocious sixteen-year-old Robbie lives an isolated, intellectual life in a semi-rural midwestern town. One day, distraught by conflict at school and home, Robbie takes a meditative stroll through the countryside, leading him to experience a sudden lapse of both time and consciousness. He awakens in a bizarre, primal world inhabited by perilous natural elements, phenomenal displays of undiscovered energies, and astounding alien forms of intelligent life!!! Accompanied by the 10-foot tall bestial warrior Bi-Do Malfofa and the timid, spindly, psychic scientist Skazazz, Robbie now must face his innermost fears and insecurities not only to find a way back home from this uncanny dimension, but also to SURVIVE!
Though full of suspense, action, and adventure, Robbie Beyond is far from mere escapist fantasy. Special consideration is paid to the disparity between the three comrades’ personalities, and their interaction in this exciting world provides a grand forum for the exploration of psychological, sociological, and philosophical themes dear to the Human Condition.
Here the viewer will find the first seven pages (sans text) of a 15 page sample proposal I developed in 1999, in addition to a few conceptual pin-ups created since then.
